Last night when I connected to the net Zone alarm asked me if it should let rundll32.exe connect to the net.
I've run my virus scanner (Sophos with all the latest updates) and it says there's no virus there.
So why now would this file want to access the net? If I ctrl-alt-del to see my running processes before I connect, this program is not running, but it does run throughout my time on the net (even though ZA doesn't let it connect).

I can't see anything obviously bad that's happening, I just get worried when programmes I don't know want access to the net.
Any ideas?

Ben

Try running CW-Shredder and see if it finds anything. Then download and run after updating --> SpyBot. Delete everthing in red that it finds. Use the USA link for the update.

Tried Ad-aware, CW Shredder, Spybot, Sophos anti-virus, even checked everything with Hijackthis. There doesn't seem to be anything going on.
Started getting error messages today from the dialler programme that my ISP provides to me. It kept saying it couldn't download updates to the dialler, I allowed rundll32.exe very quick access to the net (after making sure everything was backed-up), all of a sudden my dialler is updated. So my dialler needs to use this programme to download updates from my ISP (Strange though - it didn't need it before). Checked with my ISP and the update is an official one.
Thanks for the suggestions guys, it seems I was worrying over nothing.

Ben
