If you are using Windows 98, try clicking on Start --> Run and then type "sfc". It checks for damaged operative system files on your hard disk and among them there is rundll32.exe. If it is damaged, SFC (System File Checker) will restore a clean copy and, who knows?, this could fix the problem :)

Please don't read me the wrong way but whatever you do don't delete this file, because it is important.

It may sound crazy but it seems a lot of folk do just that.
