Download the rundll31.dll from the internet, rename the infected one move the new one inplace and delete the old. That's my best suggestion. Try the windrivers link on this computing.net site. It should be there.

before you do that, realize one thing: many trojans and virii (such as the stealth/chameleon virus) can replicate and hide itself from your checker software. if d/ling the rundll32.dll file works (and it might not due to version incompatibilities), then boot from a write protected win98 boot disk and type: fdisk/mbr at the a: prompt. this will wipe all virii from the master boot record. then, type fdisk or fdisk c at the a:prompt.
then, type format c at the a: prompt.
now, reload windows and you should be just fine.
another possible solution (and I dont think thisll work, in fact im almost sure of it) is to delete your rundll32.dll file and reload windows. or, you can copy rundll32.dll from a friend's computer onto a floppy (or go to best buy and swipe it off one of theirs), delete your rundll32.dll file and then replace it immediately with the new one. if it wont let you delete the file, then right click and go to properties. remove the check marks in the read-only, hidden and system boxes.
