Comment:

I was talking to someone the other day and they said that if you go to run (the place where you type commands like msconfig and dxdiag etc) there is a command you can type in there that will list all the files that you are missing that windows needs to run properly on your system. like the dll files etc.

Does this make sense!? If not say so and I will try and explain myself more!

it definately is on a 98 machine so any help would be appreciated!!!

Dont think you can, know you can

SFC (System File Checker) but it does show a few files that are not a problem.

See http://www.computing.net/windows95/wwwboard/forum/110121.html for more info.

BUT, if you do NOT run it regularly, before and after every install and uninstall, this is NOT a utility that you should be running. The information generated will be useless unless you are very careful and understand what it is actually "trying" to tell you.

If you are having PC issues, post back details of the problem.
