Any help? Frequently a window appears with "Rnaapp" in title bar, then message reads "program has performed an illegal operation and will be closed down", which it doesn't. A couple of clicks on the close button gets rid of the window, but I'm having lock up problems. Recently installed Norton antivirus tells me at start up that it has found a 'crash in RNAAPP>EXE etc.
Questions. what program might have performed the illegal op.? What the heck is Rnaapp (or RNAAPP>EXE)? and how do I get rid of it? Uninstal everything and start from scratch??
Oh!! I'm running Win.98 on Compaq Deskpro 2000, and I'm a complete novice to this game!

ha! to all you out there trying to use rnaapp.exe against me! i have no idea what the hell it is (well to be honest i've just found out it has something todo with remote controlling my computer!!) so! you think you can slip that one passed me huh? i'm no techie but i'm also not stupid! if any of you feel you're computer running a little slow, or it automatically kicks you off the net and then when you logg off you see a little icon appear at the bottom right of the screen (looks like two green-screen computers) flash up for the briefest of moments i think we have something in common. A WORM! i've had a look round and it doesn't seem like rnaapp.exe is that important so i copied it onto disket (just to be sure) and deleted it from my system (using find files int he start menu). i noticed the problem a while ago i had my suspicsions i was being cracked but now it seems as though they are confirmed. i'm sure if there's been one worm in my computer there are many more as i speak, err type. anyhow just delete the bugger! you'll find it in c:\windows\system
best of luck

to adam: rnaapp.exe is a core executable of dial up networking and can be found on the windows98 cd.

Thank you PCIdeas.

Pfff, I'm glad you stopped this dangerous person from spreading any more of his UNknowlegde. It's always dangerous if NON-technical people try to behave like they know what they're doing.

Indeed, RNAAPP.exe is a core part of Windows and should not be deleted manually ...

rnaapp is part of your dial up network and is not a worm?
