Retrieving drivers from hard disk

This may be obvious - but I don't know how to do it! Is it possible, if I want to wipe my hard drive and do not have installation disks for my device drivers, to retrieve them from the drive before I f-disk it so that I can reinstall them after re-loading the OS without having to search the net for them? Hope someone out there can help!! Thanks.

The best way to do this is by getting them off the manufacturer's website. Also the easiest. Trying to locate all the drivers for each device on your system would be a great pain in the @ss. If you really want to try it, the best way is to look in Device Manager (my computer, system, device manager). When you click on the various devices, you then choose Properties. Go to Driver, then Driver File Details. This will show you the device driver in use and where on your system it's located. Good luck!
