Hi noterom, hello everyone,

Click on Start and Find then select Files or Folders.

Type scanreg.ini in the Named: box.

Ensure C: is select in the Look in: box.

Click on Find Now.

Double click on the scanreg.ini file and it will open in Notepad.

You will see a line MaxBackupFiles=5

Change the 5 to the number of backups you would like to store and save the changes.

Best Regards,
Mesich

Hi noterom, hello everyone,

You are very welcome. Let us know if you have any problems.

We were all new to computers at one time or another.

My memory definitly isn't what it used too be either. :-)

Go to the URL below and read up on how to create and use more than the default 5 registry backups windows creates.
