Install Tweak UI. Under desktop check the button Network Neighbourhood.

I installed TweakUI. When I looked to see if the Network Neighborhood box was checked, it was, but I still have no icon on my desktop. Help!

Same problem as Judith. Tweak UI tells me Network Neighbourhood is there, but it isn't. Checking and unchecking doesn't change this. Another Microsoft 'special'??
