mihai,
On most mobo's there's a jumper that you can use that will reset your bios and wipe out any passwords. Unfortuantely, you may have a problem getting to it on a laptop and you may void your warranty getting to it if there's any warranty left.
good luck, wired

I don't understand what you'll saying but if the problem is you need to get into your bios and you forgot the password,I made a bootdisk that will clear most passwords in bios if you like I'll send it to you.

Mihai, are you sure that it's a BIOS password, & not a harddrive password. If it's the latter, you may as well use the HD for a paperweight. I've only found one company that claims to be able to clear the IBM HD password, & it's expensive (about $100 US to clear the password without file recovery, & much more with file recovery). You also would need to be able to prove that the HD really belongs to you.

By the way...if anyone has found a way to clear the HD password, I'd be grateful for the info. I've got a few perfectly good HD's laying around here that I'm locked out of.
