Re-Registering DLLs to Fix Glitches

I recently got an issue of PC World maazine that said you could fix glitches in Windows by registering some DLLs. But you can't register those DLLs in Windows 98 and probably not Windows 95 or Me either, although I haven't tried yet. Are there any DLLs that you can re-register in Windows 98? The only one that I could find is browseui.dll. Thanks

You can register many files in W95/98 but it is no quick fix for all ills if that's what you are thinking. There's no magic trick for computer problems.
In some particular cases it might help but you need to look at the problems you are having then work out the best way to tackle them.

Yes, registering DLLs only works when the DLL for some unknown reason got unregistered.

But what if some of the registry settings that were created when the DLL was registered were somehow deleted?

Could be the work of a registry cleaner, they can sometimes get things wrong.
