Comment:
I've replaced the oem Toshiba XM-6102B CD Drive once. It functioned for several days and then also crumped. Tried to update the driver but Toshiba sez 'no longer supported'. I have since dropped this computer from the Internet so I have no other on-line diagnostic capability. I'd like to simply play music on this 'old dog'. Is it possible to obtain an inexpensive external USB CD player that has a reasonable probability of working? Geeks.com shows such a one for $28!
If it can take an internal drive I'd say get a cheapo one as it'll be way cheaper than a USB drive and faster. Get a brown box make I have loads of no namer cd drives there all fine and function well. Even an old goldstar 8x drive from 95:P
If this equals that, then why does that equal this?
