I have Windows 98, and I recently elminiated the Blebla worm. However, it left some residue: WordPad, which I use to open my *.doc files, no longer recognizes any file that has a space in it. So if I save something like c:\my documents\text.doc, or c:\files\my text file.doc, it won't open it.
This problem only occurs when I'm trying to open files from Windows explorer, however. When I open them from within WordPad, everything works just fine.
How do I get WordPad to recognize long file names from outside in Explorer?

Try this. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Windows Setup > Accessories > Wordpad. Unselect it, reboot and reselect it.

Just a hunch, but see if the worm removal took a file named sulfnbk.exe with it. Search for this file, it should be in the Windows folder, if not extract it from the Windows disc to the Windows\Command folder
