Comment: If you remove network neighborhood from desktop (to clean it up some) will it cause something else to mess up? ------ 486 33 computer, 8 meg hd, 1 gig hd, dos 6.2, then loaded win 95. ----- I only use a PP thru a library system, adn then on occation, the internet explorer. Those are separate icons, which I need to keep ofcourse. I have no server connection, its a simply home system. But network neighbohood, doesnt wnat to be deleted int he recyle bin, like its important. Do I need it for something? If not, how to remove, so it wont bother everything else, that is working o.

Reply: (edit)Network Neighborhood can be removed from the desktop with no problem. When Windows tells you that it can't go to the Recycling Bin, it also lets you know that it can be removed from the desktop and if you want it back there you will have to set it up again through add-remove programs in control panel. When it tells you this it ask if you want to remove it from your desktop, say yes.
