I'm having a problem starting up my computer in Windows 98. I'm sure the reason is because I tried to load a free download for file encryption. It didn't work properly, so I deleted it. Unfortunately, even though I uninstalled it, it left the following line on my list of Start-Up commands: LH C:\EMF1435\MF.exe Can someone tell me how to delete this command line? Thanks.

I installed the same app, make folders dissappear right! Just open up your autoexec.bat file in notepad and delete this line only, for a few minutes I couldn't even get the comp to start, was getting blue screen of death, and to top it off, I couldn't even figure out how to run the darn thing..

I'm glad I wasn't the only person that couldn't get that thing to run. Thanks for the advice; I'll try it as soon as I get home.

What was the name of the file encryption? If it was EVELIM, I have heard that this program
can really screw up your system?

The program was 'Magic Files'; I found it on PC Magazine's downloads list.

TIP:
In The Start Menu Look For A System Tools Folder. In It Is An Application Called System Information. Load It And Click Tools (Alt-T)In This List There Might Be A Tool Called System Configuration Utility. If Its There Load It And You'll See Its As Easy As 1,2,3.

Its Perfect For Terminating Undeletable Commands.
