how do you remove or hide a computer from network neighborhood in windows 98? i know pro is "net config server /hidden:yes" and nt is "net config srv /hidden:yes" but what is 98? i dont want to delete the icon from the desktop i want to hide the copmuter in network neighborhood

You can remove the computer from the network permanently by removing the NIC card in the machine. Boot up with it removed, then shut down reinstall it and boot agiain and no network will be configured on that machine.
