I am reinstalling win 98 on a duct-taped machine. Windows refuses to install on my 1GB drive. I have done this before, but it's not working now. When I switched the 1G drive for my old(er) 240 M drive it installed with no problems... or at least fewer. When I switch back (and adjust the cmos accordingly) I get an error message saying "Error loading GDI.exe" this drops me back to basic dos with no apparent changes to the hard drive. Switching to the little drive again i can log on and post here just fine. I can read and write to either drive or both, in dos, so they both seem ok. I have run scan disk on both (or rather, the setup program has) Any suggestions? robert
