My goal is to unpartition 3 drives, to reformat them all into 3, not 6, and to reinstall 98 fresh without any old files left on the machine. My biggest problem is I dont know how. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also my windows 98 cd only works about half of the time. Whats up with that?

Thx in advance

Use Fdisk to remove all of the partitions, starting with logical drives, then extended partitions, then primary DOS partitions.

Reboot, and again use Fdisk to create the new partitions.

If your Win98 CD only works about 1/2 the time, then try to burn a new copy (after cleaning the disc). Try copying the CD to the Hd and installing from the HD, rather than from the CD.

If your Win 98 CD is an original and is not badly scratched, and your CD drive is not new, try cleaning the CD drive laser lens with a laser lens cleaner CD. If that doesn't help, try another CD drive. CD drives do not work perfectly forever, one of the first things to go is the reliabilty of whether they will boot a bootable CD, and you certainly should not put up with a CD drive that makes read errors.

If if the original CD is scratched yet another computers CD drive that has a burner drive on it can read it reliably,
or - If your Win 98 cd is an illegal copy (tsk tsk), one on a CD-RW disk will not read reliably on many CD drives, especially read only drives -

then make a copy of the disk onto a CD-R disk, preferably on a CD burner, not a DVD burner - the resulting disk should work in any CD drive.
