i opened regedit.exe (in C:/windows) and then began a search using'find' for the location of a file. don't know what i did, but, the regedit window dissappeared and since then regedit.exe is no longer in my c/windows folder -- can i install or copy the file from somewhere else? thanx and HAPPY 4th!

You could use the System File Checker tool to extract a copy from your Windows CD or if the cab files are on your hard drive(usually C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS folder)you could extract a copy from the cab files and put it on your C:\WINDOWS folder. I'm assuming you're using Windows 98 or 98SE.
