regedit not working

can someone pls help me, i can't run anything from the run command line. when i try regedit, it says your registry editing has been disabled by your administrator. who the hell is my administrator if i was able to use regedit just a few minutes ago? i had to w32 ronoper virus but that was fixed by norton already. any advice?

mona14, You may want to download & run the Fixswen.inf file at the link below. It may correct your problem.
"Save the fixswen.inf file to your local hard disk, right-click on the file and choose install".
"A Setup INF file to undo registry changes made by W32/Swen@MM and other threats that prevent REGEDIT, BAT, COM, EXE, PIF, REG and SCR files from running".

hi all and thanx, i managed to run hijackthis and fix the unwanted entry in the resgistry. now that i have access to it, i find that there are now 6 keys: 1.classroot 2.current user 3.local machine 4.users 5.current config and new one 6.DYN_DATA
what is this dyn data? i want to be able to get my old registry back thanx

Mona, I'm not on a Windows 98 machine but I'm fairly certain that ther should be a "DYN_DATA" registry key. More info at the link below.
