Only if you modem allows audio input. It'll need a headphone jack in the back of the card.

If you haven't, why not just send him the MP3 file via E-Mail/AIM/IRC etc?

Hi,

I wouldn't advise trying to send the e-mail to your friend through e-mail - it is likely to be far too big to attach to an e-mail.

I wouldn't attempt trying to send anything over 1MB by e-mail - many routing servers will not accept anything above a meg,

Get broadband and make your PC a server!

Be aware that the frequency response of a telephone circuit is VERY poor. So, what he hears will be a poor copy of what comes from your speakers.

Open multimedia in control panel and change the preferred playback device to the voice modem wave device.

I don't know if that will work but it's easy to try.
