I sent an email to a friend and inserted a graphic at the bottom. She saw the graphic O.K.
She forwarded the message back to me with her reply but instead of the graphic I got a red x.
Keeping things simple, does anyone know why I got a red X?

Thanks
Anne

Hi Anne

Is your friend using Outlook Express ?

Get your friend to check some settings.
OE / Tools / Options / Send tab
Click HTML settings for Mail Sending Format
Check the box for "Send pictures with messages"

Interesting link but doesn't seem to relate to the symptoms described.

Anne
Pictures returned to you in "Replies" can only serve to increase email download time. Maybe you are better off without them. This is probably why it is an option in OE. Whether or not this friend can insert pics in new emails to you is a different matter of-course.

Hi BigBob

Thanks for the link but as Derek says it doesn't appear to relate - appreciate your effort tho'.

Derek this friend has a habit of forwarding emails to me that she has received from various other people - sometimes there are graphics - jokes etc. When I receive them usually appear as a red x. I have read various reasons for this and altho' I like to get things fixed if possible it wasn't too important. She had previously told me that some people received the graphics O.K.
and some didn't - also says her settings are O.K.

So the problem I described initially peaked my curiosity - was thinking it was something to do with my settings but don't see anything.

If there are any other ideas out there I would be interested to hear.

Thanks

Anne

Sure, I now quite understand why it was important to you.

Glad to see problem is resolved (Krystyna is usually right on the button).
