I'm new to this method of asking for help, so please forgive me if I've not provided enough info.. Please just ask for more info. and I'll provide it for anyone.
My question is this: I haven't any recovery disk and have contcated the vendor (Racer) and it seems they haven't one either. What can one do if there isn't a recovery disk? Any suggestions would be of great help.

Thanking You in Advance,

Reno

Look on your hard drive for a CABS folder. It might be c:\windows\options\cabs.
It has the files to reinstall windows. It would be a good idea to copy this folder to a CD.

If the recovery disk is NOT for restoring your Hard disk to the state prior to total software corruption not amenable to other methods of troubleshoots and only as an 'insurance' against possible future mishaps, you could make your own "Recovery Disk' using a Program like Norton Ghost. If you have CD-RW Drive (CD-Burner) you can create bootable Recovery CD's containing an image of any Partition (s) or whole disk holding your Operating System, and other software and your personal files.

If you can clarify the main emphasis of your question, someone may be able to tailor the answer better.

Reno, If you can get Ghost for $5, I would sure do it. It's the perfect way to back up your system.
