Virus maybe? Try sending an e-mail to yourself and see if you have the same result.

This looks like uuencoding. Is this found in the main email message or an attachment? Picture files (jpg, etc) are uuencoded when sent to or received from newsgroups. This uuencodings looks like random assortments of alpha/numeric characters. If each line begins with the letter M, it is definitely uuencoding. If not, it could still be encoded.
