Can you re-install win95 over itself without losing files you have saved in other programs such as Works? Thanks

I done it several times with 98 and never lost anything. I would think it would be the same with 95. You're using a full version disk right?
Just rename win.com in the windows folder to something else, boot from the bootdisk and install 95 in the normal manner. Install it in the same directory as your existing OS. So if it defaults to 'windows.000' as the installation directory, change that back to 'windows'

I have done it more times than I care to think about with windows 95, both A & B versions. It works the same as windows 98.
