If you are asking about download managers... some contain spyware which cause problems. I believe cnet.com now use a spyware DM. (Or so I have read).

I have been using DAP for about two years,off and on. I've never had a problem with it. I honestly don't see much, if any, improvement in download speeds, but then I am on a dialup modem. Can't expect too mch, I guess. I tried one or two others and deleted them. HTH
