Random Fatal Exceptions and Invalid Page Faults

Comment:
I continuously get random Fatal Exceptions and Invalid Page Faults. I can't predict when they appear or under what modules. There seems to be no consistency. Some days I have to reboot 8 to 10 times! I'm running Win 98.
Any suggestions of where to start working on the problems? I've searched for general help but can't find anything that I feel really helps.

I'm answering my own post, but thought I'd share what I learned. I found a MS Knowledge Base article stating that bad RAM can cause random 0E errors. I took out my 1-64meg DIMM and 2-32meg DIMMS and put one 128 meg DIMM in and haven't had an error all day! I'd been struggling with this for months--I sure hope I found the cause!!

Another reason may be overheating of your CPU or video card. Make sure adequate cooling methods are applied (i.e. heatsinks and coling fans). Did you problems begin once the weather started getting warm/hot?

I don't believe my problem is heat related as air conditioning is used and if anything, the environment around the PC is cooler now. But your idea is something to be aware of--I had a CPU that was heat sensitive a couple of years ago and I had to add an extra case fan. Thanks
