Comment: ok, question #1. I have added RAM to an Aptiva, but now, lots of freezing and other probs. I was sure that I needed to add PC-133, but I could be wrong. If I want to pull out both 64meg pieces and replace the RAM altogether with fresh RAM, how do I know, where do I look to find out what is compatable with my mb or sys. The aptiva is on W98 Thanks all

Reply: (edit)sdram 133 runs to lower speed if needed, no matters. You must check your ram is added in windows/config pannel /system .If your all ram is present, that's not the solution to your freezing problem. Did you defrag since a long ?

Reply: (edit) Hi:you have To make sure if your mobo support this type of Ram If your motherboard an old mobo it probably require the pc/100 not pc/133 as to where you find info about your mobo open the case and try to look it should be some information in the mobo or if you still has the manual for your motherboard look inside for the Ram supported all the best.

Reply: (edit)That isn't your problem. I have a Tekram board with the MVP3 chipset running PC-133 with no problems. And I did have a FIC board with the MVP3 chipset that also ran PC-133. I got rid of the FIC because it was a socket 7 AT board, not an ATX, but it was a good board, just had to update.
