Comment: I tried to view video formatted with the .ram extension. I am using Windows Media Player 6.4 (I prefer it to 7.1) and also have Quicktime but the "error" message says WMPlayer is not able to play it. What is needed to view this type of format? This is the 3rd time in a couple of weeks I've come across this. At first I didn't bother because I didn't think I would use it that often, but now I'm having to use it more than I thought I would. Anyway, what do I need to view this type of file format? (I tried to change the file type in 'options' but *.ram is already associated with WMPlayer)

Reply: (edit)When installing Real Player choose the custom install and then do not install Comet Cursor. And Real Player kind of stinks so do NOT choose yes to associate all media types just select the rma files. If you come accross a file that is not selected and it is a Real Player file it will open on it's own anyway. If you select all associations you will regret it later.
