When I play a quicktime movie it seems almost like there is some sort of interference on both sound and dispaly. Almost jittery. I know for a fact that it worked fine two days ago. In the meentime I loaded a few other programs om my machine. My harware should be up to the task - 900mhz cpu; 224 mb ram and so on.
Does anybody know of about a known problem that causes quicktime to do this.

I'm not sure if I can say something about your configuration, but on my machine, a K6-2 500Mhz with 384Mb RAM, the big QT movies skip frames or freeze because of the speed diferences between the CPU, the sound card and the video card. Thus I've found that sometimes it's better to reduce the video resolution, watch the video, and enlarge it again. Or disable the sound (placing the volume slider in QT player to the minimum).

Hope this helps!

Andrés
