Quick way to reconfigure IE proxy settings?

Comment:
I have to reconfigure some of our clients' HTTP proxy port settings in Internet Explorer (the port number has been changed). Is there an easy way to do this that will save me having to go to all the clients and reconfigure the port number manually? I've only got to do this for about 10 machines, but it would save me a lot of time if there was some way to make the change automatically.

Yes, when changes are made to the proxy settings they are saved in the registry. You could configure one unit and then export the key at [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings] save it to a .REG file, place this on a floppy or the network and then double click it to import the new settings to the other units.

Thanks, that's great. I can actually e-mail the .reg file around and get the other users to import it themselves.
