hi, i have a 3com 812 router... it supports a 4 pcs adsl connection, and i have 2 pcs using it... so i have 2 free connections...

each pc download at 25k/s (aprox)... and i just want to know if i can connect another ethernet to my pc and get 2 connections to my router, and then have a 50k/s connection??

is this posible?... or if i do this, i will get 2 individual internet connecions at 25 k/s??

if i get 2 individual connectiones... is this posible to especify in each program wich internet connection use??

please, answer me... is pretty impotant... thnx

In short? The answer is No!
You can add another NIC to your PC but you can only have one IP address allocated by the router (assuming you have set up the DHCP to server IP addresses to the LAN). Sounds like your router may be set up with some configurations to limit each port to serve up to 25Kbps per channel. Check all the settings again.
Hope this helps.

i have my router with a NAT configuration... obviously, if i connect another Ethernet, i will setup up it with another private IP!

The real question here is you want a better connection with improved upload and download speeds. Right? Well, noone here can give you a simple solution like clicking on a setting to achieve blazing speed. The 'link' you have to check is long and starts with the isp and what service plan they promise. I think around 80%+ of their stated maximum speed is normal. The modem and router's settings/firmware(last resort), the NIC software and the browser settings are also in need of tweaking. On top of this, any degredation of the phone lines, junction boxes, rj11 and rj45 cables can cause retransmissions from the server.
In short, pop over to www.dslreports.com and do their line speed and tweak test, read through the forums/FAQ and get ready to do some homework.
My d/l history: AOL V90=5 kbps, Verizon dsl (economy plan) 50 kbps, tweaked=65 kbps, router-winpoet= 80 kbps, tweaked=95-100 kbps.
When I look back at 5 kbps and was trying to tweak it up to 6 to match a friend's speed I think to myself: "What was I thinking!" He still has 6! ;)
Hope this helps............ck
