Publisher and Printing

Microsoft Office publisher 2007
December 18, 2009 at 09:28:35
Specs: Windows XP
I have an HP 6200. It prints from Word, but all of a sudden, it won't print from Publisher. I did it just two weeks ago, went out of town, now it just puts it into the queue. Doesn't print blank, no error message. What's up?

Are you using USB or Parallel (LPT) to communicate with the printer? I have a HP Officejet 1220c that prints quickly off USB, but will take up to 12 minutes just to start printing. Also, if you try to print a large document, it can take a while.

How do you set the Default printer? I found differences there. IF the printer you are thinking of is not set as the default, then Windows tends to look several place for the data.

Possibly disable the spooler service; set print option to print direct - thus avoiding any "queue" situation...?

Spec says XP but for some reason this has been posted in the W95/98 forum. Just making sure everyone realises this.

What's the time?
