ptsnoop.exe

When I updated my Norton antivirus on 5-13, it detected a trojan horse on a file called ptsnoop.exe and quarantined it. Norton could not successfully "cure" this executable of its virus, so I deleted it. When I booted, I received an error message that it could not find the ptsnoop.exe file. I tried reloading the file form my Windows 98 CD, but apparently could not find where to put it, because I got a "could not fine ptsnoop.exe or one of its components message." Finally, I commented out the load=ptsnoop.exe out of my win.ini file, and everything seems to be okay. However, I'd like to reload ptnsoop.exe where it really belongs. Does anyone know where I should put it?
PTSNOOP is a token program that waits for some program to request the COM port to be opened. Then it makes sure that the drivers get loaded. The total memory impact is less than one meg of RAM, for everything that the HSP software does.
