My PS2 port is not working
i am having USB port i am trying to connect
my PS/2 mosue thru PS/2 to USB converter
but it is detecting usb port but mouse is not workingpleas ehelp me out in this

They usually don't work that way. I also have no ps/2 port and can't for the life of me get my com port to work either. No loss, I use a USB mouse, which is what my suggestion to you would be. They are not any more expensive that a ps/2 mouse. I pick them up at the computer shows for $3.99+tax. A serial mouse runs $5.00+tax. But if you do any work in dos, like installing windows you will have to learn to use your arrow and tab keys as the USB mouse don't work in dos, even though I have USB in dos enabled it still don't work. But then as soon as windows loads I get the dreaded message in the upper left corner that says windows cannot find a ps/2 mouse and it is safe to attach one now. I just hit enter for ok, and a few minutes later after windows finds my USB host I have a mouse. Runs like hell too. I used to go through a mouse ever 3 months faitfully. I haven't changed my mouse since the begining of November of 2001. Hope this helps you.

Hi All,
Only some ps/2 mouses will(mice?) work with the USB adapter. Unfortunatly it is not listed on the mouse if will accept it or not.
Some ps/2 will and some won't.Good Day!
Mesich

That is a very good question mesich. Is it mouses, or mice? I say mouses and my mom says it has to be mice. She said I should post and ask, but I know like anything else, I'm just gonna get a bunch of opinions. Is there anywhere to look this up at and find out for sure. We tried the dictionary but I don't think that applies here.
