Proxy Server or what?

I have just hooked up to Comcast cable. My home page is: http://www.my.yahoo.com. When it goes to my home page at logon, it goes to: http://my.yahoo.com/p/d.html?v
Goes there after hitting refresh too.
My 'Internet Options' does not have a check under 'use a proxy server'. Is this Comcast somehow using a proxy that I can not control? Thanks for feedback/input

There is no page: http://www.my.yahoo.com but if you set it as: http://my.yahoo.com it'll stay there http://my.yahoo.com page is exactly same as http://my.yahoo.com/p/d.html?v

I see what I had done wrong per your note and thanks. I have the registration set as per some of the discussions here at the '1', etc. so as to prevent page hijacking. But, the Comcast CD reset it to their start page, even with the reg. prevent entries. I then changed back to the 'My Yahoo' home page right away and that is where I accidently put in the www. Seems to stay there now so that was the problem and it was my fault. Again thank you for the help. Gary
