Protman.dos - NEEDED

Installing misc components in a pieced together PC. No cd-rom. Win98SE. Install/new hardware wizard is asking for this file (protman.dos). Where can I find it? If it a CAB file, I just need to know what directory it's in then I can grab it. If not a CAB file, then I really need to know how to get it. If anyone just wants to e-mail it to me, that would be fine also.
protman.dos is located in the Net8.CAB file located on the WIN98 CD. Do you have the CAB files on your HD? They are probably in the Windows\Options\Cabs directory if they are. Hop this helps

I found "protman.exe" but not "protman.dos". Any other ideas? I'm I missing something here? I'm not real good with this stuff, so any advice is appreciated!!

If win98SE follows the pattern of win98 original then protman.dos should be in the windows directory of a win 98SE installation. I'd email a copy of the file I have ( it's only 23kb ) but it may not work with SE as it's dated 05/11/98. If you want to try it anyway (if someone doesn't send a 98SE version ), drop a line to me and I'll send it as a reply.
