Comment:

Everything has slowed down for some reason. For example just filling out this form, when I tabbed to each field it took several seconds. Or when I go to any search engine and put in a query it takes up to a couple of minutes!! I'm even on DSL!! Any thoughts!!??

Clear your Internet cache, delete all temp files, run scandisk thorough, and then defrag the drives.

download Taskinfo, it'll tell you everything running and how much cpu % it's using, there may be something running in the background that you don't even want and it's using up all the resources

To MantisS - what is Taskinfo and where do you download it from? I also have problem of slow processing and when I do Ctrl Alt Del there are loads of things running, but I don't know what they all are and why they're there.

Type msconfig in the Run box and see what is there in the Start Up tab.

You can temporarilly uncheck whatever you like (windows will still run) but keep ScanRegistry checked unless you want to live dangerously.
