What date is your BIOS?
If it is really old, then chances are that your motherboard is old as well, meaning that your battery really is low. This can usually only be solved by replacing the button battery with a new one. This should solve the problem. One way to check if it is the battery is to see if the computer keeps good time, if it doesn't then this proves it.
If that doesn't solve it check the leads and the installation of your operating system before contacting either the supplier of your Hard disk or motherboard.
