Problems with Memory?

Is there a program to test to see if my memory is working proper?
I keep getting errors after a few hours on my PC saying I am running out of memory and it wont let me open any programs as I aint got enough memory. When I reboot everything is ok again. I have checked my memory but I have plenty to keep programs running and that.
I do a scan disk every other day and I also get an error coming up saying its not showing me the right memory. It fixes it and I have less than what is originally shown.
What could the problem be? I checked for viruses and spyware but nothing is coming up.

IF you are happy inside the box then try taking out the RAM sticks and putting them back in a few times. Often oxide on the edge connectors can cause problems which this usually clears.
You might be able to prove something by running with some RAM missing or by swapping sticks, although memory tester in #1 should find problems.
