Hey I am having problems with direct X version 9.0, to be specific I have found that in grand theft auto 3 (PC version) if the game ever goes into a slow motion camera (eg: when ever you do an unique jump, for thoes of you who have played the game you will know what i mean) but any way i need to know if there is any way that i can unistall DX 9.0, overright DX 9.0 with an older version or somehow get back to using
direct X 8.1, please help me out, I have also found that some other games do not work as well or have other critical problems!

Hello Guru,
I am going to start with a joke !!!
a good guru should know to be wise before starting anything !!! meditation meditation :::
Now you should remember to never update any DirectX last version of Microsoft before at least a year, in fact the company is using all users as beta testers before to give the final signature for the product. And of course there is many bugs not resolved.
Best version is actuallay DirectX 8.x for all system included windows 95
I don't think it's possible to uninstall this version 9.0 in the matter of the fact inside of the program is installed too the "virtual machine" of DirectX made by Java corporation...this program can't be erased.
Only solution is to reinstall all your windows and this time to be careful !!!

Hi,
I want to install DirectX 9.0 on a machine with out internet access... Microsoft's web site lets you download the setup file, but then connects to the web to download the rest of the data...
Does anyone know where I can get the full setup file??
Cheers

According to this site you can download to the hard drive for later setup. I don't know if you need anything more.
