Problems with a s3 virge DX 375 & a voodoo 2 PCI

i am trying to run these two cards together and all drivers are installed. I find that every time i test the 3dfx capabilties of the card that i get black screens. no 3dfx logo pops up just black screens. this occurs when i test the voodoo 2 in the directx setup and when i try to run a game in glide. i have had no success in figuring out the problem and would greatly appreciat any help
i have a Pentium 1 233 MMX, a s3 virge DX 375 card, and what i think is a 3dfx voodoo 2 1000 pci.

I think i read something with the dx375 virge having some problems with V2(i had the same card,but diff virge)I found a"fix/patch" a 3dfx.com i think(this is a long time ago....)
