I deleted XP and now wish to reinstall my old 98 OS. I did this through FDISK and by using a boot disk I am lost now. I am a newbie, or at least not to familiar with FDISK. I chose support with cd-rom option when booting with boot disk. I then deleted my second partition that got rid of XP and now only have one C: patition , at least that's all I can see when selecting view partitions. When I type DIR at the A: I see my floppy directory and in D: I see a whole list of files one two of which are scandisk and help. When I type dir at C: it gives me the good old invalid.....Failed, Retry or Abort. What do I do in order for my system to read my cd-rom so I can run setup from c:. I was told that I have to format it? Does this make any sense, unfortunately I am at school and this is all the info I can give. If there is anything I missed let me know. Cheers!

Hello
After deleting that partition you suppose to recreate the primary DOS partition FAT32. The A/R/F you receive from DOS is normal, cause there is no C drive there (still).
