I deleted XP and now wish to reinstall my old 98 OS. I did this through FDISK and by using a boot disk I am lost now. I am a newbie, or at least not to familiar with FDISK. I chose support with cd-rom option when booting with boot disk. I then deleted my second partition that got rid of XP and now only have one C: patition , at least that's all I can see when selecting view partitions. When I type DIR at the A: I see my floppy directory and in D: I see a whole list of files one two of which are scandisk and help. When I type dir at C: it gives me the good old invalid.....Failed, Retry or Abort. What do I do in order for my system to read my cd-rom so I can run setup from c:. I was told that I have to format it? Does this make any sense, unfortunately I am at school and this is all the info I can give. If there is anything I missed let me know.
Cheers!

After you fdisk the drive you must format it.

So using the bootdisk format the drive. Then install 98

Hello

After deleting that partition you suppose to
recreate the primary DOS partition FAT32.
The A/R/F you receive from DOS is normal,
cause there is no C drive there (still).

good luck
