Comment:

I installed the PCtel HSP56k modem and
drivers but when I start dialling out
with it, I get an application error (Blue
Screen) followed by another application
error in VVOICE (blue screen) and then
hangs the system.

Any suggestions ? I have tried removing the software and reinstalling it. No help.

I'm using a PcTel. The way to remove it is to go to the Windows Control Panel. There should be an icon for the HSP modem. It should be able to uninstall it. If not there is an inf file in your Windows\inf or Windows\inf\other directory that has either pctel in the name or pctwave. Deleting that file should allow you to reinstall. Mine has 2 inf files.

Have successfully installed the HSP56K driver for Win98 over a Cyrix MMX CPU, but I failed to configure dialup networking. Have done a diagnostic on the modem. A message appeared telling me that Cyrix MMX doesn't support the driver. I'm looking for the correct driver for non pentium cpu. Could anyone help plse.
Thnx
Mehrab
