Just a guess, try right clicking the toolbar area, and see if you can select the menu.? Hmm...

Are you in Full Screen mode? If so, there should be a floating button on screen somewhere marked close full screen.

If you can't see the close full screen button try pressing Alt and C keys at the same time.

See how you get on here but if this post gets near the bottom of the page without a fix then you could try the "Office Software" forum.

One possibility would be to uninstall/re-install Office but I would leave that as last resort.

"IF" this has happened recently and suddenly then maybe shutting down to DOS and running scanreg /restore might fix it. You choose a date just before it happened. Again this is a bit like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut but it's a thought to put on the back burner if all else fails.

You can try running setup from your office cd and select the repair option.
