for some reason my printer now only prints on the left half of the page. It compresses everything to half size horizontally. Ive tried re-installing it, checking that ive got the correct paper size selected etc. HELP PLEASE!!!!
Hi Adam,
Is your printer connected to any scanner or switch box. If yes remove them and try direct connect then print. Mostly is cause by Bi-directional communication problem.
2nd, try a selftest on your printer see if it work out right. This to confirm that the hardware is working.

yes it is actually connected through a scanner, but it was working before?? well ill check it out anyway.

No actually it made no difference.. it still prints the same :(
windows did however detect "a new printer" and installed the same drivers over the top of the old ones.. but the printing was the same (im testing it now using the "print test page" in the printers properties)

Hi,
I have a BJC 4200 connected to scanner and it works fine. I used to have the same prob as you, printing half pages etc and tracked it down to the printer properties. What had happened was that I was using a photo color print head on the printer and a color mode (instead of photo mode) in the printer properties.
Check and make sure that your printer print head and the properties it is set to match. If you have a photo print head, you can only print in the photo mode. If you have a color print head, you can print in the color mode.
did this prob occur when you changed your printhead or reinstalled your printer??

Hi! I've used the BJC-4200 with excellent results for a couple of years. Now for some unknown reason it gives an internal error message about "color matching not available". I tried reconfiging it in the properties area but to no avail. I would be please if anyone could assist. thanks Peter.

yes! my printer is printing as though it was a pastel brush. What happen I do not know. The Pictures that I down loaded from digital camera worked fine, but when I went to print a new batch of my grandchilds b-day, the color was so far off. I tried to re-boot,and default with no luck. It just happend so quick, I tried changing ink jet, cleaned heads to no avail. help

I have a bjc-4200 that quit printing. I replaced the color and black ink tanks. I have cleaned the head numerous times and did the nozzle test. The only colors that print on the nozzle test are red and blue.
Does anyone know what the problem is?

Hi,
My BJC-4200 has been faithful to me for past two years. Recently I reink the color catridge and it work for a couple days and now it quit printing. The green lights still flashing, my PC still passing the datas but the printer is stuck. Please advise.

I have the same problem as Peter Coleman. My printer says that color matching not available. I went into my trouble shooting on everything I could find. I reinstalled my
printer and everything and it still keeps printing on the left hand of the page what can I do????????

I have recently changed my colour cartridge, but the i get an error message 'don't recognise the cartridge!'
it prints fin in black but no colour!!

My 4200 is also just blinking the green light. It had been fine up till now. Then three days ago, I start getting a message about checking the connection to the computer, which I've done and found no problem. Any ideas?

I have a cannon bjc 6000 It is printing everything in a blur and a smudge. Looks like you have pulled the paper out while the printer is printing. I have cleaned that is not the problem. Can anyone help me with this.

I am getting an error message color adjustment methods not available. With a follow up message stating that I do not have enough free memory to run BJ series printer driver. But there is ample menory available. I have deleted and reinstalled printer no help. Any ideas

when I start to print the PC reads internal error in mixing colors. Photos come out pretty dad. hope someone can help me.

Help...all I see are pink letters and pink pictures! Can I change some setting that I have missed or something? There is nothing coming up that says anything that has gone wrong. Thanks

My printer also will only print on one half of the paper. Where can I take it in the Dayton, Ohio area for repair
