I am trying to install Privateer dos version under win 98 SE but it tells me I need a full DOS version when I try to install and it wont go any further. How can I get the game to run, or get a full dos version that will work for it?

I ran it with win95 so I know you can run it on win98. You need to make a dos shortcut and set the memory, fonts, etc. Then you MAY need to make a dos script to get the cdrom, mouse, sound card, and joystick to work by installing the dos drivers.
If nothing works try booting into dos mode and trying it. There may be help on the web in setting this up with this game.
Summary: I have win98 I also have Privateer 2 only thing is i can't install it I can't get into a full dos. Is there any way i can install this game on a dos window? ...
