Ok here it goes::
I have setup a network and have a printer with its own IP address. This printer is not attached to any computer. I am able to ping it but can't print from another PC(win98SE).
I'm able to print under window prograns using the printer's program but not under DOS. I have tried the net use command which tell me it "completed succesfully". maybe I'm not using the exact command to print under DOS. Have use the copy filename lpt1 to no avail. any ideas guys?
Thanks in advance!!

On the PC side try going to the printer properties and usually under details captute the printer port.

Most DOS programs are set to print to LPT1 and this will do it.

Hope this helps...
