Printer/USB pORT NOT RECOGNIZED

I had to reload Windows 98 on my computer and I have reloaded the drivers for my printer, which is now installed. But, it is not recognizing my USB port, and not printing. When I go into my printer settings, I only am given the choice of an LPT port or a COM port, not a USB port. So, how can I set it up so that the USB port is recognized?? Before I used the same port.

Ensure that USB is enabled in the BIOS, then check to see if there are any entries in Windows Device Manager for USB and if there are any problems there.
