primary IDE controller

CPU/Ram: penII 64ram

In the Microsoft System Utility it is showing the Primary IDE Controller has a problem code=29(0x1D). How do I go about fixing this? Any help will be appreciated.

Installing the correct Motherboard drivers usually helps!

Open Properties for the IDE controller and make sure that "exists in all hardware profiles" is checked.

Which motherboard do you have ?
Have you installed the device drivers the motherboard and the IDE controller ?
