Primary & secondary IDE controllers

I have exclaimation marks by the primary and secondary IDE controllers, and the computer does not recognize the CD-ROM drive anymore. The computer is an old HP4535 running Win98. Can someone help?

Your system is using the i810 chipset. Go to Intel's website and download/Install the INF update for the i81X chipset.

This should allow Windows recognize the IDE channels properly.
